Objectifs

The primary objective of this course is to develop a profound understanding of where ethical issues play a role in finance, how managerial decisions affect the market value of the firm, how market participants and management can influence the behaviors of investors by, for example exploiting corporate finance knowledge. The secondary goal is to provide judgment skills on situations where finance and ethics may conflict. While the theoretical foundation is the prime element of this course, there will be ample and tangible reference to recent developments in the capital markets.
