ObjectivesIntended for future economists, this course introduces students to the methods of economic science and gives a general outline of the themes that will be subsequently treated in more detail. For the benefit of future managers, it also presents an overview of the contemporary economic world, and the problems that it poses. ContentsMore specifically, the students will be invited to reflect on the different ways in which individuals act, as consumers or entrepreneurs, in order to reach their objectives. Topics covered include the analysis of supply and demand, the theory of welfare and its implications for the functioning of our economic system, particularly the role played by the State.
