Objectives

The aim of this course is to provide students with:

  1. a start-up mindset by introducing agile project management within a small or big company
  2. design thinking methodology to enhance creativity & innovative thinking
  3. practical experience of applying marketing knowledge within real companies consulting projects

In addition, while working on the projects, this course will help students to acquire:

  1. set of skills enabling students to work as future marketing professionals (e.g., project management, teamwork, creativity, analytical thinking, solving business problems),
  2. marketing knowledge and methodological tools to manage projects and solve company challenges.
  3. ready to use project portfolio which could be helpful win an internship and/or first job.

More details:

  • Managing a long and complex project in teams
  • Understanding and adopting the professional codes of a (real) company (in the Q&A sessions, oral and written presentations)
  • Communicating with diverse marketing representatives, and integrating their perspectives in the final analysis
  • Learning and applying marketing theory
  • Collecting and analyzing different types of data, identifying problems and opportunities, and proposing adequate solutions
  • Summarizing and presenting recommendations

Design Thinking - Agile project management - Project management: planning and teamwork – Data analyses – Building and executing written and oral business presentations - Building your personal project portfolio

For pedagogical purposes, the class is limited to maximum 30 participants.

THIS COURSE CANNOT BE COMBINED WITH THE COURSE: Brand Development Consulting Project

For the student, the retake consists in writing a complement to the final report, and present this complement.
