Objectives

Introduction to theoretical principles and modelling approach to fundamental problems in evolutionary ecology.

Contents

We explore the evolution of sexual reproduction, ageing and resource consumption through mathematical and computational modelling. In addition to core concepts of evolutionary ecology, students learn how to formalize a theoretical model, implement it in a computer program (e.g. R, C or Python) and analyse its output.

Course open to regular students in the BEE orientation
