Design Science & Design Thinking
course in the Doctoral Program in Computer Science by CUSO (web), with Jean-Henry Morin, University of Geneva, March-April 2013.
The objective of this course is to offer PhD students in information systems (IS) and computer science (CS) the methodological foundation of design science research and design thinking. Combining theoretical (morning), hands-on (afternoon) sessions and two invited lectures, this course will provide PhD candidates with the required methodological foundation for their research.
In particular the course will address design science from various viewpoints: frameworks, paradigms, theory, processes, patterns, evaluation, ideation and rationale. These design techniques will be used in creative ideation workshops, prototyping, scientific literature reading and reviewing, writing research proposals and papers (more).
