By working through case studies, visually engaging examples and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to test business models and value propositions. They will acquire the tools and techniques needed to reduce risk of failures through systematic testing. The following questions will be addressed: Why do businesses fail? Introduction to market testing: customer development. MVPs: Minimum Viable Products. Extracting hypotheses from business models. The Sanity Test: testing the prototype numbers. Where your Business Model Lives?

We will revisit the business model canvas and value proposition canvas. Design thinking and lean startup will also be emphasized for exploring, prototyping and testing value propositions and business models. Ground rules and pitfalls in the use of the Business Model Canvas in large corporations will be illustrated. The new visual tool “Culture Map” will be briefly presented and illustrated.

This mini-workshop aims at presenting the latest Business Model Innovation and Lean Startup tools. Business model innovation and industry changes will be illustrated with examples such as Nespresso, AirBnB, Tesla and AWS. Design thinking attitude will also be emphasized for exploring and prototyping business models. Participants will learn the latest on how to design and test business models and value propositions to decrease the risks of innovation.

Yves Pigneur presentará las últimas herramientas de Innovación de Modelo de Negocio y Lean Startup. Los participantes revisarán lo último en cómo diseñar modelos de negocio y propuestas de valor para disminuir los riesgos de la innovación. Los participantes aplicarán los lienzos a ejemplos prácticos como AirBnB, Tesla, o Amazon, enfatizando la mecánica de modelos de negocios y el Story Telling. También se enfatizará el Design Thinking y Business Development para explorar, prototipar y experimentar propuestas de valor y modelos de negocio. Se ilustran las reglas básicas y las dificultades en el uso del canvas de Modelo de Negocio en corporaciones. La nueva herramienta visual “Culture Map” se presentará e ilustrará brevemente.
