Format
Hands-on sharing of concrete experiences about what works and what doesn’t among peer practitioners in large organizations. Targeted and structured knowledge sharing sessions facilitated by Strategyzer.

Special session on latest Leanstartup tools:
During the last session of the event Alexander Osterwalder, Yves Pigneur, and Alan Smith shared the latest tools and processes to help apply and scale innovation in large organizations. Notably, they talked about the Test Card, Learning Card, and Progress Board.

BMGEN at FujiXerox

Keynote for a team of Japanese senior executives, organised by FujiXerox (web) and Prof. Noboru Konno.

This seminar aims at presenting the Business Model Canvas for designing, assessing and challenging business models. Business model innovation and industry changes will be illustrated with examples such as Nespresso, SunEdisson, and AirBnB. Design thinking attitude will also be emphasized for exploring and prototyping business models. Finally, the synergy between the business model canvas, lean startup and customer development will be briefly presented for testing business models (see slideshare presented in Tokyo)

This mini-workshop aims at presenting the Business Model Canvas and the Value Proposition Canvas for designing, assessing and challenging business models. Business model innovation and industry changes will be illustrated with examples, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies (invent or improve?). Design thinking attitude and customer centricity will also be emphasised for exploring, prototyping and testing business models. Furthermore, business model mechanics, economics and layering will be presented and illustrated. Ground rules and pitfalls in the usage of the Business Model Canvas and the Value Proposition Canvas will be illustrated.
